Lower Tail Light Replacement

I have a 2018 Q5 with a cracked lower tail light lens. Someone tapped the light and cracked the lens; all the bulbs still work. The procedure looked simple enough, but it appears my hitch makes it a little more difficult. I searched the forum for information on replacing it, but couldn't find any info about dealing with a hitch. Can anyone tell me how to get the light assembly out with a hitch installed?
