Not sure if I’m posting this correctly but I have a question regarding 2015 TDI Q5 Audi of which I test drove and thinking about buying.

The question is, is it ok to own a TDI vehicle for city driving purposes? Would this lead to any mechanical problems as I’ve been notice that owners of diesel cars usually purchase these cars because they do long distances driving.

It is ok to own a TDI but much better for the car, specifically the complex emmissions systems, if they run on the hwy and get “hot”. This helps clear soot from the filters.
